National Roller Skating Month’s 2025 Campaign: “Lace Up, Wheels Down, Let’s Skate!” INDIANAPOLIS, IN (August 27, 2025) – The Roller Skating Association (RSA) is thrilled to announce the theme of this year’s National Roller Skating Month campaign: “Lace Up, Wheels Down, Let’s Roll!” This October, roller skating rinks nationwide will open their doors to inspire people of all ages to lace up their skates, enjoy the thrill of rolling, and experience the powerful physical, social, and emotional benefits of this beloved activity. As the RSA continues its mission to promote fitness, fun, and friendship through skating, the 2025 campaign will spotlight signature events, community partnerships, and opportunities for the public to reconnect with their local rinks. Spotlight Events Learn to Skate Day – October 4, 2025 Aimed at first-timers, this kickoff event welcomes beginners into the skating community, encouraging them to take that exciting first glide in a fun, supportive environment. Cha Cha Slide Day – October 11, 2025 At 3 p.m. local time, skaters across the country will unite in honoring the legacy of DJ Casper, creator of the “Cha Cha Slide.” The synchronized coast-to-coast celebration is set to fill rinks with rhythm, smiles, and community spirit. Unity Day – October 22, 2025 In partnership with PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center, rinks will join forces to shine a spotlight on kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Skaters are encouraged to wear orange and roll together in support of this nationwide anti-bullying campaign. Why Roller Skating?
