ROLLER SKATING FOUNDATION NEWS The Roller Skating Foundation would like to welcome Kim Brown, its newest board member, to the Grant Committee for 2024-2025! The Foundation met at the RSA Convention and decided to increase the amount of the RSA Scholarships for 2025 to RSA/RSM—$5k, $4k, $3k. They will also offer three athlete scholarships to any discipline, each worth $1000. They have also increased the amount of grant application funding for the year to $18,000. The application process for grants has been simplified. When sharing with teachers or principals, all you need to do is include a link or create a QR code that links them directly to the grant application page. No need to print or attach PDF forms! This simplifies they way the grants committee functions when deciding upon winners and delivering checks, as well. If you have any questions at any time, please reach out to RSA President, Cindy Anderson, at rollerskatingfoundation@gmail.com or call or text her at 434-426-0199. Roller Skating Foundation Posters to be Delivered in 2024 The Roller Skating Foundation will also be developing and mailing 11 x 17 posters to RSA members in 2024. These posters will allow teachers or non-profit organizers who happen to visit your rink to scan a QR code on the spot to direct them to apply for the grants, as well as a QR code that will link skaters and staff in your rink to access the scholarship applications! Look for these in your mail this summer!
