Usher Skates Usher has skated most of his life and enjoys it immensely. Skating is also a form of release. Usher is a very good skater and is very comfortable rolling. When Usher did his residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, a part of his show was done on skates with his crew. When Usher skates, he rolls on the very finest skates in the world. The skates matter. He rolls on the Italian EDEA boots, the “Flamenco” and the Italian “Dance” plate with toe stop (pictured). Other favorites are the soft and very comfortable EDEA “Classica” boot and the “Ring” plate with NO toe stop. The boots are super comfortable with memory foam and can be “Custom Shaped” by a trained authorized skate technician. “Custom Shaping” means that the boots are customized for you and the shape of your feet, very narrow to ultra-wide. Both skate plates provide incredible action and control and have nine variations of cushions that can be mixed and matched to give just the right amount of steering action. Wheels are the “Fox” or other animal wheel hardnesses depending on how grippy or slippery the skating surface is. The more slippery the skating surface, the softer the wheels need to be. The more grippy the skating surface, the harder the wheels need to be to get that roll. The bearings are “SpeedRace” or “SpeedMax” 7mm custom skate bearings from Italy. His crew also rolls on the EDEA boots and the “Dance” or “Ring” Once in a while Usher and his crew skate on other skates, but this is usually due to working with designers and other marketing efforts. But, when he skates and wants to feel the best and most comfortable, he comes back to the fabulous Italian EDEA skates from Skates U.S. The EDEA skates come from a long tradition of innovative excellence and dominate the high-level competitive Roller Figure Skating and competitive Ice Figure Skating markets. During the Superbowl Halftime Show, Usher and an expanded crew are planning to be rolling on skates.
