In light of the current state of affairs with the COVID-19 outbreak, the RSA held a meeting of the members in which over 180 people attended. The point of the meeting was to inform members of actions they should be taking in preparation of this ongoing situation. To support your needs, the Roller Skating Association office will continue to remain open. One staff member per day will be in the office to avoid individual contact and everyone will be answering phones and emails Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm if and when you need them. Of course, if you have an emergency you can always reach the RSA Executive Director at 317-347-2626 Ext. 104. If you need to order any products, please note that we will be shipping them out once per week, unless things change. While a video of the entire meeting can be found on the RSA website (Note: This is for members only so you will need to log into your account to gain access to this video), we're going to highlight several pieces of the meeting below and include links to materials, websites and files for you to utilize. WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO USE THE ADVICE YOU WILL FIND HERE After the meeting, we received the following email from a member. Being a part of the RSA means that we are here to encourage and help you find ideas and solutions, when at all possible, during this global pandemic. We are in this together. --- Hi Jim, Thank you for today's meeting. I am not a very active member, but that is going to change after the support I felt from you and the group this morning. I wanted to share that as soon as the meeting ended I started to contact my mortgage lender and was given a 3 month deferral on our loan. They also gave us a deferral on our personal house mortgage and HELOC loan which I thought was above and beyond what they could offer us. We have a separate SBA loan and I have a call into them but haven't gotten a call back. The loan officer at our bank told me to ask for a 6 month extension on that loan and thought that it would be honored. I'll let you know if they granted that when I talk to them. Thanks again for spurring me into action today. At least I feel that I am doing something proactively to help us when the crisis is over.
